Who we are

Gloaming Press is an independent press run by Ben Waldee in Illinois, USA. You can reach us at hello@thegloamingpress.com.

Orders

Your order is accepted once payment goes through, and we then send your copy to be made. Because every copy is printed for its buyer, we can't hold stock or reserve copies.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars. Shipping is $9.99 per order, and sales tax is added where the law requires it. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Delivery times are estimates. See Shipping & returns for timing, cancellations, returns and replacements.

The book

George MacDonald's text, Arthur Hughes's illustrations and John Atkinson Grimshaw's painting are all in the public domain. This edition's design, typesetting, cover design and the words on this site belong to Gloaming Press.

Colours on screen differ slightly from print, and sprayed edges vary a little from copy to copy.

Our responsibility

If something goes wrong with your order, we'll replace or refund it as described in our shipping and returns policy. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. We may update them from time to time, and the version in place when you order applies to that order.
